YOU MUST BE ABLE TO RUN WITH THE HORSES
Above everything else, you must be able to run with the horses.
As Christians our performance out there in the world is under constant scrutiny. We are
required to constantly and continuously peak, as the onslaught of the enemy is fierce,
vicious and ruthless.
We have to be swift, fleet-footed and winged in order to elude the venomous invasions by
the powers of the world. We ought to not only evade those attacks, but we need to run and
surpass them to assist others avoiding the diabolical bombardment of man so prevalent
There is a beautiful analogy recorded in Jeremiah 12. The footmen run on foot while the
horsemen sit comfortably saddled. Obviously the footmen are bound to be exhausted much
quicker whilst the horsemen are at a clear advantage.
However, you must be able to run with the horses.
When the spirit of the Lord came upon Elijah, it is recorded, he ran with his bare feet and
overtook the chariot of Ahab … ON FOOT!
You see, in this race against the evils that prevail in this world, you will be able to be
victorious having secured God on your side. It is your responsibility though to be vigilant,
hawk-eyed, watchful and on guard. The rest you can leave up to God. He empowers you
and he never fails.
Indeed, when THE POWER OF GOD is upon you, you will be able to contend with both the
horse and the rider supernaturally.
Therefore, run! God is with you!
Do not give up. Do not give in. You must be able to run with the horses.
Jeremiah 12:5 “If you have raced with men on foot and they have worn you out, how
can you compete with horses?”
