HOW TO FIGHT AND MASTER YOUR ANXIETY
How to fight and master your anxiety. The situation occurs. The message comes through. Someone says something to you or
about you. You feel threatened or worried. You are tense and on the edge. You are anxious.
A very straight question to ponder on today: “Have you mastered your anxiety?”
Some of us have indeed mastered anxiety, while there are more who fail to even get over a
single challenge without getting anxious. Some of us are able to get ourselves under control
almost immediately when the situation confronts us, while some of us lose control as soon
as anxiety sets in.
Many studies had been made on anxiety and anxiety disorder, There are beautiful
techniques and suggestions as to how you can overcome this terror of an emotion. They say
you simply have to challenge your negative and self-degrading thoughts, practice and relax.
You have to step away from the problem for a moment.
Now the Word says: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and
petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”
That state of uneasiness and that tension is not to be yours. It belongs to God. That
uncomfortable and threatening occurrence is not yours. It belongs to God. Those symptoms
such as shaking, wet palms, in the gut sweating, intense feelings, and wanting to flee are not
yours. It belongs to God. It says “in every situation.”
Whatever it is that makes you lose sleep, affects your relationships, work, academic
success, and your very life – take it to the Lord in prayer – even with thanksgiving. He
specializes in soothing and solving stressful situations. He is God.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with
thanksgiving, present your requests to God. –Philippians 4:6
